Death Row Ministries
The Forgiveness Foundation A Prison Release Ministry writes monthly to the men and women awaiting execution on death row in a prison in the United States. We write to them to tell them that Jesus loves them and wants to be their Lord and Savior. We tell them that no matter what has transpired in their lives that Jesus loves them and wants them to be His own. All that they are required to do is confess their sins to Him and they will be forgiven and to ask Jesus to be Lord of their lives. Christians refer to this as the Roman Road. We explain that if they sincerely take this simple yet most powerful act a human can perform that Jesus will forgive them of their sins and that they will spend eternity in heaven with Him. We encourage believer and non-believer alike to write to us. Every letter receives a personal response. Our goal is to strike up a relationship that allows us to continue to minister to the non-believer monthly and to support the believer as he or she awaits execution. As we continue to minister to the non-believer we encourage the believer to pray for all the men and women in prison, for the guards and administrative staff of the prison and his/her family, (many of whom no longer communicate with the inmate) and the family of the victim of their crime. We assist in providing Christian guidance and counseling for any problem that the inmate asks direction. We also encourage every inmate who writes acknowledging guilt of his crime to pray for the victim’s family. Every day, we at The Forgiveness Foundation, pray for all men and women in prison, their families, and families of their victims, the guards, the prison staff and administrators. We pray that those who have not accepted Jesus as their person Lord and Savior may be touched by the Holy Spirit that they may accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. For those who have accepted Jesus as personal Lord and Savior we ask that the Lord grant them wisdom in their actions and the peace that surpasses all understanding. I remind every one I write that God is in the Sin business, He allows the states and commonwealths of this great nation to be in the crime business.
